NAB decides to summon police and Rangers on the occasion of Maryam Nawaz's appearance

During Maryam Nawaz's appearance, there are reports of attack on NAB office, stoning and obstruction of official duties. The concerned authorities are being requested to declare NAB a red zone.

Lahore News Latest. On March 22, 2021, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to summon the police and Rangers on the occasion of the appearance of PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz. Relevant authorities are being requested to declare NAB a red zone. According to a NAB press release, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore today released media reports in which Maryam Nawaz appeared in two inquiries in accordance with the law at NAB Lahore on March 26, allegedly by some NAB accused, activists of political parties, And NAB has taken constitutional action on the basis of reports of other persons attacking the NAB building, pelting stones, allegedly obstructing the performance of official duties as per NAB's legal and constitution and damaging the NAB office. The decision has been taken to make the security of the building foolproof, seek the help of law enforcement agencies, police and rangers. In view of security concerns, the concerned authorities are being requested to declare NAB a red zone.

The NAB clarified that it would always play its role in eradicating corruption from the country and recovering billions of rupees looted from the nation by corrupt elements in accordance with the Constitution and law, regardless of any threat or pressure. It does not belong to any political party, group or individual, but only to the state of Pakistan. On the other hand, PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah has termed the press release of NAB Lahore as a panic of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

 He said that Maryam Nawaz Sharif has a political summons on March 26 in NAB Niazi Nexus. NAB should refrain from issuing political press releases, there is no justification for such political rhetoric. The NAB has already expressed its malice by using words like "stoning", "climbing" and "obstruction of official duties". It is not "government duties" but the black acts of the NAB-Niazi nexus that have been exposed to the world. The NAB is not an anti-corruption tool, it is a tool to save corrupt vote-stealing rulers and "political engineering". NAB will fight the hooliganism of Niazi Nexus as before. We cannot be intimidated by such politically malicious press releases.
