We will continue to support Kashmiris to achieve their right to self-determination, Prime Minister said

It is to be noted that Pakistan Day is being celebrated with enthusiasm in our dear homeland. Today, the spirit of patriotism is shining brightly all over the country, because this is the historic day that marked today's glorious day in the ground of Lahore. The resolution passed in the meeting gave happiness to Pakistan as a result of Lahore.


On March 23, 1940, a resolution was tabled under the banner of the All India Muslim League declaring independence for the Muslims of the subcontinent, as it was feared that if the British left and allowed the subcontinent to remain a single country. Muslims will not be identified, so the points of the resolution were presented in Manto Park, Lahore, in order to get a separate territory for Muslims separate from Hindus.

Therefore, this day is commemorated in memory of the resolution passed at the meeting of the All India Muslim League on March 23, 1940, in the light of which the Muslims of the subcontinent embarrassed the dream of a separate homeland. The resolution was tabled at Lahore Manto Par where the Minar-e-Pakistan was erected in his memory.

Simple and solemn celebrations of change were held. Every year on the occasion of Pakistan Day, a grand parade of the Armed Forces is held at Shakar Padiyan Ground, Islamabad. This year too, the Armed Forces made full preparations for the parade. However, according to ISPR, due to weather conditions, the Pakistan Day parade will be held on March 25 instead of March 23.
