Announced According to details, several trains bound for Punjab have been stopped at various stations due to track blockage. Some passenger trains have been stopped at Rohri, Khairpur and other stations including Khyber Mail, Karakoram Express, Millat Express while Green Line, The Farid Express and Sir Syed Express could not leave yet and the passenger trains stopped at various stations due to the accident were delayed by 6 to 8 hours.

On the other hand, Pakistan Railways has announced Rs 1 million assistance for the family of the woman who died in the train accident between Rohri and Pinnu Aqil. The great woman who died in the train accident was on her way to Sahiwal from Karachi. The families of the deceased will be given financial assistance of Rs. 1 million while all the injured will also get financial assistance of Rs. 1 to 5 lakhs.

It may be recalled that a tragic accident took place on the Karachi Express between Rohri and Pinnu Aqil as a result of which eight bogies derailed. According to rescue sources, several persons were injured while a woman was also reported dead. According to railway officials, the train was coming from Karachi to Lahore and crashed near Pinnu Aqil. According to officials, rescue teams have also been dispatched from Lahore to Karachi to expedite the rescue operation. Due to darkness, rescue operations are also facing difficulties. All up and down lines on the railway track have been closed. According to rescue sources, 12 injured were also referred to Karachi hospital where they are being given first aid. At that time, a team from Sukkur Division reached the spot. Rescue operations are underway, but the cause of the accident is not yet known.
