PESHAWAR: All internet service providers of the country have been directed to block tick-tock service in view of Peshawar High Court's decision.

Islamabad (March 11, 2021) Implementing the court order, PTA has stopped ticking off the country. According to details, a statement has been issued by the PTA regarding the order of the Peshawar High Court to ban social media app Tick Tock.



According to the statement, the court has directed all internet service providers across the country to shut down the tick-tock service immediately.

On Thursday, a two-member division bench headed by the Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court ordered the closure of the Tick Tock application. A two-member bench of the Peshawar High Court heard a writ petition seeking a ban on talk talk.

DGPTA, Deputy Attorney General and petitioner's counsel Nazish Muzaffar and Sara Ali appeared in the court.


During the hearing, Fazil Chief Justice Qaiser Rasheed Khan asked the DGPTA where the Tuck Talk office is from where it is controlled. The court was told that the Tuck Talk head office is in Singapore, Pakistan. Has no office, is controlled from Dubai. The court was also informed by the PTA that we have applied to the officials of Tik Tak but no positive reply has been received so far.

The apex court, in its short order after the arguments of the lawyers, banned tick-tock. Chief Justice Qaisar Rashid Khan in his remarks during the hearing said that the videos that you load on Tick Tock are not acceptable to our society. Tick ​​tock videos are spreading obscenity in the society, it should be stopped immediately. It may be recalled that Tick Tock was also banned in Pakistan last year on charges of spreading pornographic material. However, a few days later, the ban on the social media app was lifted after company officials assured the Pakistani government that their objections would be removed.
