Islamabad latest newspaper. December 3, 2020: Islamabad High Court rejects application for ban on gatherings due to Corona. According to the details, during the hearing, the petitioner took a stand in the court that there is a danger of spreading corona virus from large gatherings in the country.

The court remarked that we have given the order and if the executive is not able to implement it, then it is up to them. Here is the parliament, the executive. Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that if the society is not fulfilling its responsibility then why should the court intervene. No one is following the court order and is involved in politics, so why should we intervene.

The Chief Justice said that the petitioner should trust the Parliament and that is where the solution can be found.

Such cases should not come to court. The petition pleaded that large gatherings in the country could lead to the spread of corona. Counsel for the petitioner said that it was the responsibility of the state to implement the Corona SOPs. Petitioner's counsel said that you said in the recent judgment that the decisions of the NCOC must be implemented, despite the guidelines of the NCOC, they are being violated.

On which the court said that it is necessary to follow the orders of the NCOC as there is an emergency situation. When the parliament is silent, the court order is not being implemented, why should the court intervene? Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that then the question arises whether this country is running under the rule of law? Even our people are not following it. The poorest will be affected. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of a petition seeking a ban on political and religious gatherings due to the spread of the corona virus, but rejected the request to ban gatherings due to the corona.
