Lahore Newspaper Latest-November 08, 2020 Federal Assistant for Energy Tabish Gohar has proved Federal Minister Omar Ayub wrong, revolving loans are increasing by Rs 40 billion per month, revolving loans have reached Rs 2300 billion Cannot be set to zero. According to the details, the revolving credit in the power sector in the PTI government has increased from Rs 1,100 billion to Rs 2,300 billion. Even today, the monthly revolving credit is increasing by Rs 40-45 billion.

Federal Minister Omar Ayub had claimed that the monthly revolving loan of Rs 35 billion would be reduced to zero in December 2020. Now it is being said that due to the Corona virus, the revolving loan could not be reduced to zero. Brought on a monthly basis.

This is not true because the government has failed to reduce the price of electricity, line losses are not under control, and the collection of electricity bills has also decreased.

As a result, it is not right to reduce the circular debt. On this, Special Assistant for Energy Tabish Gohar said that Corona has incurred a loss of Rs 100 billion in electricity distribution companies. In total, the circular debt has increased to Rs 500 billion. That's up to 23 2.3 trillion now, but it's true that revolving credit has increased, I'm not saying we've gotten rid of revolving credit.

Revolving credit cannot be reduced to zero by the end of next year. We need to get the statistics right. But there are many people who are not in our power. Our power system was affected due to Corona, which is why loans have also increased. The Prime Minister has given relief in electricity tariff to industrial consumers last week. We hope that this will increase the supply and demand of electricity. The purpose of the discount is to bring it back to grade.
