When Multan Sultans started the innings, Zeeshan Ashraf and Adam Lighth gave the team a 19-run lead, after which Lighth fell victim to Waqas Maqsood after scoring 9 runs. The Multan team had not yet recovered from the loss when captain Shaun Masood was run out for 3 runs and Riley Russo returned to the pavilion in the same manner.
