Sharjeel Khan failed to impress in intra squad practice match

After making the opener 19 runs, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi got out.

Lahore latest newspaper. On March 24, 2021, opener Sharjeel Khan failed to impress during the second intra-squad practice match at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore before the tour of Africa. Playing for Team White against Team Green, Sharjeel scored 19 off 14 balls after which he was dismissed by fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who had four fours in his innings.

Sharjeel started the innings with Abdullah Shafiq in pursuit of Team Green's target of 357 runs in 50 overs.

Shaheen Afridi took Sharjeel's wicket in his third over, the opener's catch was caught by all-rounder Faheem Ashraf. Sharjeel did not participate in the first intra-squad practice match on Monday as he was asked by the team management to train separately. For Green, wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan scored 112 runs while opener Fakhr Zaman scored 58 runs. Captain Babar Azam scored 48 runs. Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez took 2 wickets for 18 runs for Team White.
