Umerkot latest newspaper. December 03, 2020: Alleged bribery of PTI workers in Ehsas Kifalat program in Umerkot has been revealed. According to details, poor and deserving women receiving government assistance in Ehsas Kifalat program centers protested against the deduction of Rs. 500 per person. One woman involved in the protest, while showing money, said that Rs. 500 had been deducted from her. Another woman said that Rs. 500,000 had been forcibly deducted and Rs. 11,000 was being paid.
The woman participating in the protest said that the full amount is not being provided for making prayers, but Rs 11,000 is being given. After which the illegal activities of some people in the Ehsas Kafalat centers with PTI cards around their necks have raised many questions, but on the other hand the authorities claimed that these people have been evicted with the help of the police.
A woman worker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that we have a responsibility not to return or deduct money, our duty has been imposed by Babli Rind. According to media reports, Khuda Bakhsh Mehr, district in-charge of Ehsas Kifalat program, was contacted in this regard. It may be recalled that the Ehsas Emergency Cash Program launched this year was based on Rs. 144 billion. The program provides financial support to people whose jobs have been affected by the corona virus outbreak. Among them are wage earners and laborers.
