| The day Kim Beck's hopes are dashed, I will retire: Junaid Khan Working hard |
Lahore latest newspaper. Junaid Khan, the fast bowler of the national team, says that he is still working hard and will continue his efforts to return to the national team. Since 2011, he has played 22 Tests, 76 ODIs and 9 T20I matches. Junaid Khan, 30, who represents the team, said selectors should take a professional approach and talk to players about their future, as is done in England and Australia.
He has not yet thought of leaving any format and that is why he first played in the National T20 Cup and now he is playing in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy so that he can return to the national team. It may be recalled that last year, as a protest against not being included in the 2019 World Cup squad, Junaid Khan had posted a picture of himself on social media with a tape on his face, but later deleted the picture.
In this regard, Junaid Khan said that this picture was a reaction to the fact that he did not receive any message from the selectors regarding his expulsion from the World Cup squad but it was reported through the media to the experienced players representing Pakistan. There should be more respect. Junaid Khan further said that the day his hunger for return to the national team was over, he would announce his retirement.
He said that he is a British citizen and can earn much more from county cricket than those who are earning by playing domestic cricket in Pakistan but his goal is to represent Pakistan because Pakistan has given him everything. And where they are today is because of Pakistan. In response to a question, Junaid Khan said that despite the threat of the spread of the corona virus, the PCB is welcome to start the domestic season and successfully host the series against Zimbabwe, a bio-secure bubble for the players. It is very difficult for me to stay away from my family for a long time, but if they do not get the opportunity to play cricket regularly, the players can be very tense.
