Sindh captain Sarfraz Ahmed fined for violating Quaid-e-Azam Trophy |
Lahore the latest newspaper. During the third round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy held in Karachi on November 8, 2020, Sindh captain Sarfraz Ahmed was fined heavily for violating the Code of Conduct. Sarfraz Ahmed violated Level One of the Code of Conduct during the match against Northern in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. The Sindh captain took an inappropriate stance on the umpire's decision, which was reported to the match referee by field umpires Faisal Afridi and Saqib Khan.
Match referee Mohammad Anis fined Sarfraz 35% of the match fee if found guilty. In another match, Central Punjab player Usman Salahuddin was also fined 20% of the match fee for violating the game's code of conduct. The incident took place in the 26th over of Central Punjab's first innings on Saturday.
During the LBW appeal, Usman continued to show his bat, which was considered an attempt to mislead the umpires.
At the end of the second day's play, Usman Salahuddin was reported to the match referee by field umpires Ghaffar Kazmi and Nasir Hussain. Usman Salahuddin pleaded guilty and accepted the fine imposed by match referee Iftikhar Ahmed.
