West Indies batsman Sharfin Rutherford, who represented the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League on November 15, 2020, entered the field wearing the gloves of the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. In the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 5 qualifier, Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans were tied for the allotted 20 overs and the Super Over took place in which Karachi Kings batted Sharfin Rutherford after Sharjeel Khan was dismissed. While maintaining the confidence of the team management, he hit a four and a six in Sohail Tanveer's over to help the Karachi Kings reach a total of 15 runs. When Rutherford came to play on the field, he played for the IPL franchise Mumbai. The Indians were wearing glories which raised the question of whether the management of Karachi Kings was unaware of their action or failed to provide them with a complete cut.

It may be recalled that in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 5 qualifiers, Karachi Kings defeated Multan Sultans in the Super Overs to qualify for the final. Karachi Kings scored 13 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the Super Overs, Multan Sultans scored only 9. Karachi Kings captain Emad Waseem tied the match with a four off the last ball of the innings, now the match will be decided in the super over. Earlier, Multan Sultans started the innings when Zeeshan Ashraf and Adam Lightth gave the team 19 runs. Waqas Maqsood was the victim after Light scored 9 runs. The Multan team had not yet recovered from the loss when captain Shaun Masood was run out for 3 runs and Riley Russo returned to the pavilion in the same manner. The difficulties of Multan Sultans were further aggravated when Zeeshan Ashraf scored 21 runs. Emad Waseem looted the pavilion, Khushdal Shah came to support Ravi Bopara and the two formed a 40-run partnership for the 5th wicket. Shahid Afridi also became Arshad Iqbal's second wicket with just 12 runs, Ravi Bopara's resistance was ended by Waqas Maqsood on 40 runs, Sohail Tanveer's 13 balls with one four and two sixes helped Multan reach 25 not out. The Sultans managed to score 141 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Waqas Maqsood and Arshad Iqbal of Karachi Kings took two wickets each while captain Emad Waseem took one wicket.

The winning team will reach the scheduled final on November 17 and the losing team will play either Lahore Qalandars or Peshawar Zalmi tonight against the winner of Schedule Eliminator One. The Multan Sultans squad includes Shaun Masood (captain), Zeeshan Ashraf, Adam Laith, Riley Russo, Ravi Bopara, Khushdal Shah, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanveer, Mohammad Ilyas, Imran Tahir and Mohammad Irfan. The Karachi Kings team consists of Emad Wasim (captain), Babar Azam, Sharjeel Khan, Alex Hales, Van Parnell, Chiduk Walton, Muhammad Amir, Waqas Maqsood, Rutherford, Iftikhar Ahmed and Arshad Iqbal.
